NEW ORLEANS – The Final Four of March Madness is here and there could not have been a bigger matchup in place.

One of the most storied rivalries in college basketball between the Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels will finally see a March Madness matchup with the winner headed on to the National Championship game.

When looking at the lines for this game, the one that should stick out the most is the odds on the game total where legal online sportsbooks have it set at 151 points.

Duke Vs. North Carolina Game Total

Over 151 -110
Under 151 -110

Duke, UNC Trending Over For Easy Money

Being that these are two of the most historic teams that are always loaded with top recruits, it makes sense that they would hit the Over on the game total more often than not.

Currently though, in recent matchups between the two, they have been trending towards the Over. In their last nine matchups, their CBB odds for each game total was set at 152 points or higher in which they have gone 6-3 in that span. All six of those overs though have come in their last six matchups.

Their last six matchups have also seen 154+ points scored. With the line set at 151 points, it could be some of the easiest money made all tournament long. Looking back at their two meetings in the regular season, they had totals set at 152.5 and 153.5 in which both went Over at 154+ points scored in both games.

As for the seeding matchup, a #2 seed and #8 seed have met in the final four just once where the Over hit as well.

ACC Vs. ACC In March Madness Screams Over

In the history of March Madness, there have been just seven meetings between two ACC teams. In those seven games, the ACC has held their own in the scoring department going 7-0 with the Over. Something else to take note of in this trend is that Duke and North Carolina were in five of those games.
