The Golden State Warriors are favored to win Game 2 of the finals with -195 odds.
BOSTON – The Boston Celtics have shifted the series price odds of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors after coming out scorching hot in Game 1 winning 120-108.
It was not all fun and games for Boston though as they went into the fourth quarter of Game 1 down by 12 points and outscored the Warriors 40-16 in the final quarter to win the game. With the Celtics taking Game 1, not only have they shifted the odds to win the series on legal betting sites in their direction, but have silenced many that were counting them out.

Going into the first game, tons were already doubting the Celtics out being that their team had 0 games of finals experience compared to the Warriors 123 games of experience in the finals. NBA Finals odds makers had the Warriors listed as a -160 favorite to win the title before Game 1.
Public betting splits were also heavily lying on the Warriors in Game 1 with 69% of bets and 70% of the betting handle on the moneyline and 76% of bets and 87% of the money bet on the spread.
There were even NBA Finals trends going into Game 1 that shifted away from Boston as home teams had a 59%-win rate on a 104-71 record in the finals. Also, the favorite going into the finals have won their games 67% of the time with a 116-57 SU record before the first game.
One of the major players backing the Celtics to win the championship was ESPN’s Basketball Power Index which had Boston at a whopping 86% chance to win before the series started.

Boston also had a major trend in their favor going into the finals as they’ve gone 7-6 ATS in their last 13 finals games. They have also gone 17-9-2 against the spread as an underdog this season giving bettors a pretty 75% return on those games.
With the Celtics now up 1-0 in the series, it could be the right time to take their odds. Teams that have gone up 1-0 in the playoffs since 1947 have gone 660-187 in their series for a 77.9% win rate.
